Suffolk County legislators Jay Schneiderman (R-Sag Harbor) and Ed Romaine (R-Riverhead) filed a lawsuit against the county last week on behalf of five villages - Southampton, East Hampton, Westhampton Beach, Amityville, Head of the Harbor and Asharoken - charging that they are not receiving their fair share of county sales tax revenue for their individual police departments.
